A recently published report by Research Dive states that the global health and wellness market is expected to garner revenue of $6,543.4 million by 2026 rising from $4,514.3 million in 2018 at a steady CAGR of 4.8% from 2019-2026.
Significance of a Healthy Routine
In order to lead a balanced yet healthy life, one needs to implement a routine into their lives which covers all major activities. A routine ensures that the person has plenty of time to go about his/her day without having to deal with increased stress levels. Routines also have several advantages as listed below-
- Lower Stress Levels: Having a routine ensures that there is more room for relaxation and less for any error, hence lowering the chances of anxiety. This also helps in lowering stress levels which in turn protects the heart against illnesses.
- Feeling of Being Well Rested: Carrying out any activity in a timely manner ensures that there is lots of time for rest at the end of the day. By planning, one can work on making the meal healthier and adding more nutritional value to it. Deciding on a meal in the last moment usually leads to people picking the easiest option of fast food which isn’t a healthy choice. This makes it important to plan earlier so that the produce or ingredients necessary are also available easily.
- Turn Exercising into a Creative Task- Taking time out to exercise is one of the most difficult parts for people – especially those with a desk job. But, an alternative is to find a way to burn calories in even the smallest of activities. Rather than using the elevator after a busy day of sitting at a desk, one can use the stairs instead whenever possible. This can also be done at malls or other places of leisure where an individual can skip using the escalator and use the normal stairs. Also, taking at least 30 minutes of time post-work to involve in a fun activity, such as dance or yoga can also help in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Switch the Bad Habits for Good Ones- A lot of people today unfortunately pick up habits such as smoking or drinking as a mode of stress relief. This is one aspect that people need to work on, by gradually trying to bring down the number of time they smoke or drink in a day. Additionally, exercise provides the body with a healthier way of stress relief, which leads to people not turning towards other habits to release their stress.
- Maintaining Hygienic Surroundings- To ensure the best of health, it is also imperative that the person has a clean home or room that he/she reside in. A cluttered room results in cluttered thoughts that further leads to inefficiency in work process. Lack of efficiency in work further leads to increase in stress levels hence forming a cycle of toxic habits. Due to this reason, it’s necessary to clean up the space frequently and make sure that any unnecessary objects are cleared away. This fills the room with more space that helps the person to work or rest well.
